The Dogwood Monarchist Society’s Oct 16 fundraiser at the Royal Hotel raised $300 toward the legal fees of UBC students at the APEC commission hearings. The commission, which was temporarily adjourned Oct 23, is probing the RCMP and federal government for alleged abuse of police power and violation of student protesters’ freedom of speech at the APEC conference last November.
