Skilled Hunters – This Great Blue Heron just nabbed a rat! Diet includes small fish, the eggs and young of many other birds. "As I snapped this one, all the other waterfowl on the lagoon stormed over to the heron in caucophony of protest. The rat eventually got away!" (Lost Lagoon, Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia.)
