Common Starfish
Asterias rubens

Subtle Submergence – A purple Common Starfish, underwater in a shallow tide pool. During spring months (March - April), Common Starfish can be found in tide pools along the seawall around Stanley Park. (Photo taken at Lasqueti Island,in the Strait of Georgia, British Columbia.)
