Because there is no law or policy against it,
YOU CAN BE BUSTED even if the officer:
- tells you he or she is not a cop
- shows you identification
- touches his dick or touches you sexually.
IF YOU ARE ARRESTED, REMEMBER:
- Cooperate! Be polite. Don't fight, or swear -- even if they swear at you.
- Say nothing but your correct name and address until you have spoken with a lawyer!
- If asked, an officer must tell you his or her name and badge number (whether you are under arrest or not). The officer should show you a badge within a few city blocks.
- Insist on an officer of your sex if you are searched.
- Note badge numbers, names, licence plates and scout car numbers of police officers and witnesses.
"Communicating for the purposes of prostitution" is a summary offence. You should get an appearance notice and be released unless you have: no I.D., outstanding charges, breached bail or other court orders. The police do not have the right to fingerprint or photograph you for a summary offence!
