Fiona's memorial, November 8, 1996

I regret very much that I cannot attend this sad event to mark the loss of Fiona Stewart and pay tribute to her short but valuable life.

She was sweet and funny and smart and kind. She cared about justice. She had deep respect for the dignity of everyone, but most especially she cared about vulnerable people; sex trade workers, the homeless, the lost.

This community, this world, is poorer without her shining spirit.
