Mother with a causeCOQUITLAM -- A mother whose daughter was recruited into prostitution at 14 is organizing a petition calling on Ottawa to raise the age of consent from 14 to 16.Diane Sowden, supported by her MP, Sharon Hayes, plans to sent the petition to Justice Minister Allan Rock. In 1988 the former Tory government reduced the age of consent to 14 from 16.
