SUBJECT:	Response to the Ontario Civilian Commission on Policing Services (OCCPS)
RECOMMENDATION:	THAT the Board adopt the attached report.

Background

On August 27, 1992, the Ontario Civilian Commission on Police Services Inquiry into the Administration of Internal Investigations by the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force issued a report criticizing the management and administration of internal investigations and public complaints and requiring the Metropolitan Toronto Police Services Board to report within six months on the actions it has taken to address the Inquiry's 24 recommendations. The attached report sets forth actions taken by the Police Services Board in response to the recommendations of the Ontario Civilian Commissison on Police Services panel.
